Oh the Irish are getting close but so far no cigar and I suspect that it is the tax rate that is one of the hang-ups. The two big guys have been in a tizzy over the 12.5% for years and will battle to the end. Anyway there is not much else in this side-show on which to comment because the major act will not begin for another few months and that will be Portugal and Spain. Certainly, no sane European would allow a gigantic financial crisis to interfere with the celebration of Christmas, so we have until about February before we move to panic stations. I'm going to wait to see what happens in the next 24 hours before writing more. In fact, I think I'll begin to cook...for Thursday.
