STILL MUSING

In fact, I have been doing a lot of that on the latest piece of electioneering regarding the financial sector to come out of our stalwart overseers in Washington: the Pay of Bankers.

Desperate stuff, that.  Like it really makes a difference to the safety of the system as to whether remuneration vests after three years or four.  It is so blithering stupid from the standpoint of managing risk that not only could it only be conceived by a political hack but as might be expected, the long term affect might just be to produce the opposite result.  And in my musings I began to realize that this has more to it than meets the eye and coupled with a few other bad ideas floating around out there should really be thought about a bit more.  So that's what I'm going to do on what is supposed to be a beautiful weekend in the fly-over zone...sit outside, watch the trees and the garden flower and muse...about the weeds that grow in Washington and other places.

Back next week.
