Nothing happened in the world of finance today except in response to getting their fees cut by Dodd/Frank and the Durbin amendment, every bank in the world raised their charges for the pleasure of owning a debit card. Perversely, this may get people out of owning debit cards which are the stupidist thing you can have in your wallet especially if there is a credit line attached, but hardly in the mode of doing good for the consumer in the manner the legislation intended. Genius exposed once again.
